Have you felt the calling to deepen your understanding of the practices of yoga? Do you wish to pay forward the benefits you have gleaned from your time on the mat? Join Imogen on this 8 month journey to awaken the authentic voice inside of yourself and step into the seat of teacher. Imogen's 250hr TEACHER TRAINING programme has been birthed from her deep love of the practices of yoga. Yoga has, in every way, transformed her life since she first stepped on the mat, way back in 1998. Since then she has trained under some of the world's leading teachers and continues to be a student herself to ensure she stays informed and this is reflected in all her work. Her passion to share yoga never wanes and she believes this work in the world is more important now than ever before. Life is a process of learning and unlearning. A journey of concealment and revelation. We all have a teacher inside of us and it is this embodied understanding of 'self' that will help you to discover THE TEACHER IN YOU.

Your Lead Trainer, Imogen North
Imogen will lead the majority of the training and it is from her you will learn anatomy, physiology, asana, teaching methodology and much more. Imogen has a unique lens when it comes to helping students understand the body and body systems which she then applies to the physical yoga asana. She believe it is crucial that these foundations are taught by the lead teacher so you can fully integrate these learnings into your teaching methodology. She has trained extensively in Yoga & Orthopaedics with her teacher Tiffany Cruikshank and is a licensed Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist.

Dynamic breath-led Vinyasa: Flowing sequences that link movement with breath, building strength, mobility, and focus.
-
Anatomy-informed & therapeutic: Strong emphasis on biomechanics and safe alignment, often adapting poses to support injury prevention and individual needs.
-
Holistic yoga approach: Combines physical practice with mindfulness, philosophy, and slower styles like Yin or restorative yoga for relaxation and nervous-system balance.

Mindfulness & Compassion
Anna is a Senior Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist, Mindfulness & Compassion Instructor and author based in North London. 25 years ago yoga became an important part of Anna's daily routine to feel calmer, stronger, more grounded through busy London life. Since her initial teacher training in 2008 she has loved sharing these practices; enabling others to also live with greater balance and ease. She feels passionately about equipping people with simple, yet practical tools to incorporate into their daily lives.
In recent years, she has been delighted to be involved in a range of teacher training programmes to support others in sharing these tools. As an Associate Tutor for Mindfulness UK, she delivered their Integrating Mindfulness and Compassion (IMC) Teacher Training programme as well as a range of modules for the Yoga On The Lane 200hr Teacher Training. She has supported Yoga Therapists in training as a Case Study Supervisor on the Yoga Campus Yoga Therapy Diploma and is on the Yoga Campus Teaching Faculty delivering CPD in Self-Care for Yoga Teachers.
Anna's book 'Weaving Mindfulness & Compassion into Yoga Teaching: a guide for yoga teachers and teachers in training' was published June 2025.

Yoga History, Philosophy & Politics
Firdose is a South African of Indian descent, a yoga teacher, practitioner & researcher passionate about issues of decolonisation and social justice. She is currently undertaking doctoral work titled Yoga, Politics and Possibilities for Social Justice at the University of Cape Town. She holds a Masters degree on the Traditions of Yoga and Meditation from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and she is a registered E-RYT 500 teacher with Yoga Alliance. She also works as the Southern African correspondent for ESPN, where she reports on cricket in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and beyond.
Her teaching style is steeped in historical knowledge, cultural experience, socio political curiosity and practical application. In her classes you can expect historical and philosophical discourse zoning in on particular periods in yoga’s storied development, anatomically intelligent postural practice which is also reflective of asana as it evolved over time and culturally relevant information on practices from the subcontinent which have evolved through a Western lens. She is both an African and an Indian and recognizes the shared suffering through colonization. Her work is centered on amplifying both Africa and India’s attempts to seek liberation – of their resources, their cultures and their bodies.

Prenatal Yoga
Claire has been working with pregnant women for over a decade in her role as a reflexologist and yoga teacher. She trained initially with Katy Appleton - apple yoga and then enhanced her teaching undertaking Katy's Pre and Post Natal Training. Since then she has run regular prenatal yoga courses at her studio in Hitchin.
Claire has two sons, now 22 and 19, and found yoga to have been invaluable through her pregnancies and through motherhood.
Whilst many women will seek a dedicated prenatal class, some women will attend a regular yoga class whilst pregnant. Claire's teaching through this training will offer you guidance on how to confidently welcome pregnant women into your classes.
Of course ultimately they may move, or you may wish to guide them towards a prenatal focused class, but having some basic knowledge around how to accommodate an (often unexpected) pregnant woman will be invaluable.

Thank you for a great training. I will be digesting and integrating. It really feels like we are caterpillars metamorphosising into butterflies.

Cathy, 2025 Trainee
I have been inspired by Firdose’s lectures on the origins and evolution of yoga. Her approach is rooted in her passion and curiosity about the provenance of yogic texts and their historical contexts. Her approach is refreshing and scholarly. Prepare to be challenged.

Victoria, 2025 Trainee
This training is like a coming home. The way the course has been put together is very clever as everything lands just at the right time.

Doireann, 2025 Trainee
Weekends at Imogen's teacher training are a joy. The days are long but go so quickly as we immerse ourselves in practice and learning, and I find myself not wanting them to end! I leave feeling so inspired, uplifted and excited for what's to come.

Full Scholarship: BIPOC Representation in Yoga Teaching
This full scholarship is offered in recognition of the historic and ongoing inequities that have shaped who has access to yoga teacher training - and who is seen, supported, and paid within the yoga teaching space. While yoga has roots in South Asian traditions, modern Western yoga spaces continue to disproportionately centre whiteness, wealth, and privilege.
This scholarship is specifically intended to support Black and People of Colour (BIPOC) who wish to step into teaching and leadership within yoga. It is one small step toward increasing representation, redistributing access, and supporting teachers whose lived experiences are essential to the future of yoga.
Needs-Based Scholarship: 50% Tuition Support
This 50% needs-based scholarship is available for those who feel deeply called to this training but for whom full tuition presents a genuine financial barrier. We recognise that access to professional training is often shaped by systemic factors - including income inequality, caregiving responsibilities, disability, and other life circumstances - not by commitment, talent, or readiness to teach.
This offering exists to reduce financial strain and make this training more accessible to those who would otherwise be unable to participate at full cost. If money is the primary reason holding you back, you are encouraged to apply.
To apply for the scholarship please contact Imogen .
➤ Submission Window: Applications must be submitted before 13th March 2026
➤ Interview Process: Selected applicants will be invited by email for an interview.
➤ Notification: The successful scholarship applicant will be notified by email by 31st March 2026.

Anna's beautiful session on mindfulness and compassion was definitely a positive sparkle moment for me. I realised during and after the session that I can 100% do this YTT by showing up for me. The mindfulness & compassion part of the YTT is what I want to sprinkle on my future students. Imposter syndrome 0 Ami 1.
