Testimonials

Imogen's teaching is authentic. She wholly embodies all that she teaches, it's inspiring and motivating.

Serin Werner, Yangon

For 10 years I attended different yoga classes all over London, I never really found a class that I enjoyed or wanted to commit to. Being a full time mum I really wanted to find a way of dealing with stress, tone my body and give me some time out so that I could think more clearly and have more energy and patience. Then I met Imogen. Her warmth creates a very relaxed, positive and enjoyable atmosphere to learn in. I have been going to her classes with out fail every week since and I feel so much better for it. Yoga has now become a very important part of my life and this would not of happened without Imogen's tutoring.
Jo Dorrian, London

Life always feels more manageable after a lesson with Imogen.

Will Hollinshead, London

Imogen hails from London, England and is now based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.  She trained initially under the expert eye of Katy Appleton and primarily teaches yoga classes, yoga workshops and yoga retreats. Her preferred style of teaching is dynamic Vinyasa flow descended from the Krishnamacharya lineage.  â€‹What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga?  Read her recent article for more details.

Imogen enhanced her teaching becoming one of Judith Hanson Lasater's Relax and Renew® certified restorative yoga teachers and continues to train with her teacher Tiffany Cruikshank.  She is a licensed Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist.  What is a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist?  Read more about here.

Imogen is passionate about helping people make changes in their lives. Her teaching fuses anatomy, physiology and biomechanics with traditional Eastern yogic practices; tantra, ritual, and a deep reverence for nature.

Imogen works one-on-one with students personalising classes to suit their needs and to deepen the therapeutic effects of yoga for them.  Read more about yoga therapy here.

Serving the community has always been a key component in Imogen's work.  In 2017 Imogen moved to Myanmar and set up Safe Space Myanmar, an organisation that takes trauma-sensitive yoga to women from marginalised communities across the country partnering with different NGOs as part of their psycho-social support programmes.

Imogen's teaching honours the lineages of all of her teachers and through her teaching she hopes to inspire possibility and encourage self-awareness, awakening your authentic creativity as a yoga practitioner in the modern world. Imogen fiercely believes that yoga is for everyone, that it is a vital tradition that transcends all race and religion, fundamental in all of our lives more so now than ever before.
